BI- and DWH-Modeling in Innovator for Information Architects

Course description

Do you already have experience with BI / DWH architectures and want to use this knowledge in models using standardized notations irrelevant of the manufacturer? You need a suitable modeling tool for the job. The Enterprise Suite for Innovator is a tried and tested tool that can be used for displaying BI and DWH architectures in models.

This seminar will introduce you to the advantages of tool-supported modeling hands-on by creating an integrated model using Innovator for Enterprise Architects. The course starts with a general introduction into the modeling tool, Innovator for Enterprise Suite, and how it is used. You will model necessary data models, measures and cubes, ETLs with necessary transformation rules, maintain hierarchies and describe dimensions.

Aims:
At the end of the course you will be able to use Innovator for Enterprise and create BPMN and ER diagrams for BI/DWH and create other artifacts required. You will be able to understand dependencies between various model elements and create a complete model documentation to use as a basis for further project phases.
