Composite Structure Diagram (UML 2)

The Composite Structure Diagram shows the inner structures and interaction relations of classifiers. It is distinguished between structural-statistic and structural-dynamic composition structures. While the former illustrates the fragmentation of a whole into its parts, the latter describes the functioning and the therefore necessary parts of the system.

Sequence Diagram (UML 2)

The sequence diagram belongs to the UML Interaction Diagrams and shows a certain view onto the dynamic aspects of your modeled system. So it illustrates interactions and describes the exchange of news between communication partners displayed as lifelines. This interaction can be read in two directions. The communication partners are illustrated from left to right while the imaginary timeline runs from above to below.

With the Innovator for Software Architects you have the possibility to use the advantages of the sequence diagram for yourself. So you model the information exchange between any communication partners of a system. Illustrate the order, the temporal and logical process conditions as well as the grinding and secondary frequencies within the information exchange in order to map the process of the communication.

You can create the Sequence Diagram within the Innovator in the model structure beneath a behavior-specific classifier.
