Innovator Office Integration
is an extension for the Innovator platform that allows the user to insert and manage a requirement into an Innovator model through Microsoft Word. This is done using a Visual Studio Tool for Office (VSTO 3.0) add-in.

Requirement elements can be created and edited separately through MS Word without Innovator being installed on the client machine. The add-in includes an efficient updating mechanism between the Word document which can be partly generated offline and the Innovator model on the repository.

Tasks

  • Transfer requirements created as text in structured form
  • Create new requirements (even when not connected to an Innovator model)
  • Edit existing requirements in a model
  • Synchronize all changes with the Innovator model

Word Interface

  • Extra ribbon bar "Requirements"
  • Tool window with:
    • Tree and list view of requirements in the Innovator model and Word document (navigate requirements from both sides in document and tool window)
    • Login management area
  • Editor window for requirements with complete view of all properties
  • Dialog for resolving conflicts when changes have been made to a requirement on both sides

  • MS Word 2007 (or higher)

Innovator for Business Analysts Enterprise edition users have already purchased this.

All customers who use another Enterprise edition or the Professional edition need to purchase a license for Innovator Office Integration.

Innovator Office Integration cannot be used in the Personal edition.



Innovator Runtime

You need to install the Innovator registration entries and icons if you have not got Innovator installed on the computer which Innovator Office Integration should be used on.
