Training and Development

Our company can only grow if we also enable growth of our employees. We want to motivate our employees to add to their knowledge and experience, and to develop their full potential. This is why we provide a wide range of continual internal and external seminars, training and a transpar-ent career development path.

Further Development

The MID Academy provides a wide range of seminar offers for both customers and em-ployees. Employees can work through the internal education program to build on their knowledge of both tools and methodologies.

Further development of soft skills is also important for both project and close collaboration. We offer a wide-array of internal seminars, covering topics such as customer orientation, conflict management, rhetoric and presentation.

Our internal competence center allows our employees to be part of MID’s knowledge man-agement and actively contribute to exchange of knowledge. Weekly further education of-fers, such as our MID night school cover various topics from everyday working life and sup-port business and personal development based on the principle of “employees teach em-ployees”.

Our MID mentoring program also supports our employees. New employees are assigned a contact partner and confidant to help get them started working in the company. The pro-gram supports development of business and personal competences for both new and ex-isting employees, as well as prospective managers when taking on further tasks.

A defined competency model offers our employees a transparent indicative framework for gaging their development. Set competences within the model mean that you can clearly see which expertise is required for which level of position and their future perspectives. Concrete and individual aims are advantageous to both us and our employees. They support acceptability of responsibility and performance and substantially contribute towards implementation of the business strategy.

Feedback is of great importance to us. An annual appraisal assesses the performance and development of our employees. Feedback from employees, superiors and human resources enable a strategy to be developed for the employee’s future within MID. This appraisal will also assess which track the employee will take: specialist or management. Our special personal development concepts for technical experts, prospective managers and managers support this development.

Trust-based working hours enable our employees to focus on goals and results, whilst retaining the necessary freedom to juggle work and home life. Extraordinary personal situations also require flexibility. This is why part time hours, extended parental leave or sabbatical leave are further important foundations for work-life balance. Our headquarters in the heart of Nuremberg combines all company departments in the product and IT services environment, including marketing, sales and management. Our modern building boasts generous and ergonomic workstations, an innovative design and optimal facilities. The large rooftop terrace with its stunning views over the Wöhrder See lake provides the perfect location to relax and grab a breath of fresh air. There are great transport links with a tram line and train station right on the doorstep or plenty of parking spaces in our multi-story car park.
