BPMN Basics for OCEB-F Certification

Business process management (BPM) is the basis for a company's successful development in a dynamic business environment.

You will be required to demonstrate a broad knowledge in this discipline and know the various concepts and techniques in the "OMG Expert in BPM - Fundamental (OCEB-F) certification.You can actively collaborate in BPM projects, both on the business and technical side of things.

This seminar will impart the knowledge you require for the certification.

Aims: Upon completion of this course you will know the basics and concepts of business process management (BPM) and the essential BPM elements. You will have the knowledge necessary for successful completion of the OCEB-F certification.

Contents:

  • Basic business administration terminology, e.g. corporate functions, project management tasks and phases, marketing tasks, value-added chain, porter’s five forces, market segmentation, STEP analysis, SWOT analysis, break even analysis, crossover analysis
  • Business process management, e.g. alternative definitions and characteristics of business processes. identification of business processes, abstraction levels of the description
  • Basics for business process management, e.g. total quality management, business process reengineering, organization structures, meaning and use of IT in BPM
  • Business Motivation Model – BMM
  • Basics from BPMN 1.1  : activities, events, gateways, pools and lanes, collaborations, data objects
  • Ability to name and assign frameworks for controlling and measuring, e.g.: APQC process framework, supply chain operations reference model – SCOR, value reference model – VRM, business process maturity model – BPMM, six sigma, ISO 9000 ff.,  Basel II, SOX, balanced scorecards, KPI
