Description:

You will be trained for iSAQB Certified Professional for Software Architecture (Foundation Level) in this seminar. The first stage of the iSAQB certification program’s course equips software architects with the knowledge of how to design, document and communicate requirements. You will learn relevant state of the art methods, techniques and technologies and how to successfully employ these in your tasks as software architect. You will then have the option of sitting the iSAQB CPSA (Foundation Level) exam.

Aims:

  • Know the term and meaning of software architect
  • Know the tasks and responsibilities that fall to a software architect
  • Know the role of a software architect in projects
  • Know the state of the art methods and techniques used for developing software architecture
  • Have the ability to agree upon all software architecture decisions with others working in the project from the areas of requirements management, project management, test and development
  • Document and communicate with software architects based on views, architecture patterns and technical concepts
  • Know all steps when designing software architectures and implement these on your own in small and medium-sized systems

Prerequisites:

  • Sufficient practical experience in software development gained in various projects and systems upon finishing education
  • Knowledge and practical experience in at least one advanced programming language
  • Basics of modeling
  • Basics of UML (class, package, component and sequence diagrams) and mapping them into source code
  • Practical experience in distributed systems

Methodology:

Teaching units taught by a trainer interspersed with practical exercises, presentation of results and discussions.

Speakers:

Phillip Ghadir, CTO and member of the innoQ executive board. Mr. Ghadir has worked for many years in large companies designing and implementing company-critical architectures. He was a lecturer for software technology and software architecture at the technical college in Dortmund, has written various professional articles and is co-author of "SOA-Expertenwissen" (SOA Expertise) (dpunkt publishing house).

Stefan Tilkov is managing director and principal consultant for innoQ Deutschland GmbH, working primarily with customers in strategic consultancy in the areas of software architecture, focusing on SOA, web services and REST. He is the author of "REST and HTTP", joint editor of the book "SOA-Expertenwissen" (SOA Expertise) (both dpunkt publishing house), author of numerous professional articles and is often a speaker at international conferences.
